The biggest question I see everyday when it comes to web promotion; Is how do I use the meta tags right? There are a couple of things to remember to never do when your use meta tags. Some of these include:

Never put keywords in your meta tags, that are not in your content of your web page.

If you don't use the keyword enough in your content, don't put it in your meta tags

What you can use meta tag for

Put keywords in meta tags when you use a keyword or phrase 20 - 30 times in a web document.

You can still have a keyword enriched web site, without using meta tags at all. If in question, don't use keywords in meta tags

Tell the search engine spiders how often you want them to index your web site

Try using keywords in title, separate with "-". Example: Meta Tags - Search Engine Optimization and Keywords.

Use keywords heavily in your description meta tag
